Qatar Airways to commence Bangalore Doha service, adjusts India capacities

After a long wait, Qatar Airways has officially announced the start of services to Bangalore. The Doha based carrier will commence daily services using a narrow body Airbus A320 aircraft from early February. Exact launch date and schedules are awaited.

The airline has also adjusted capacity across some stations in India:

• Chennai capacity has been increased from a daily Airbus A321 to thrice a week Airbus A330-300s, thrice a week Airbus A321s, and once a week Airbus A330-200.
• Delhi capacity has been increased from a daily Boeing 777-200LR to six a week Airbus A330-200s and once a week Airbus A330-300.
• Mumbai capacity has been reduced from daily Boeing 777-300ER to five a week Airbus A330-300s, once a week each Airbus A340-600 and Airbus A330-200.
