Air India Boeing 787-8 VT-ANH performing flight AI803 from New Delhi, with 127 passengers, suffered a bird hit while landing on runway 27 around 09:00 (03:30Z) at Bengaluru International Airport, Bangalore. The bird, struck the fuselage, and was not ingested in to the engine. The crew performed a normal landing and taxied to the gate and passengers disembarked normally.
The aircraft was thoroughly inspected and no damage was found. The aircraft performed its return flight AI505 to New Delhi with a delay of 30 minutes.
